Windows 7: Ways to make Office 2013 Documents Password Protected and Encrypted


Office 2013 documents including the Word 2013, Excel 2013 and PowerPoint 2013 documents. So to make the document more protected you need to encrypt it. So, here in this blog I describe you steps to make your document password protected and encrypted. The steps are same for all like word 2013, Excel 2013 and PowerPoint 2013.

To make the data protected you need to click on File option of the particular document on the top of the tab. You see lot of option here you need to click on Prepare option after that a list of options open in front of you, here you have to click on Encrypt Document.

When you click on encrypt option a small window is open on your screen ask for password. Here you need to enter strong password and then click on Ok. Now it asks to re-enter the password type the same password as before and click Ok. Now your data is encrypted.

Now when you open your document again it required password to open. No one can read your document without entering the password. It’s a very simple process to make your important document more secure.
